Good morning, evening or night. I pray this post catches you in having a blessed day. I struggle with finances every week. Yes, I have a good job but at times I feel like I barely make it week by week. When I go to the store I have noticed that you can barely buy any food for less than two dollars. I have trouble at times letting the Lord into this part of my life and know if I did He would take care of everything and provide for my needs. What does the Bible say about Money?
The Bible tells us…
Most of the verses I am bringing to the table have to do with money being a sin. In Hebrews 13:5 He tells us “Keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” I love the words in this verse because He tells us he will never leave us. That is a very reassuring verse about how money is sin and He will provide everything
In 1 Timothy 6:10 tells us “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” Another great Bible verse that shows how money is evil and God showing us what he wants us to focus on.
The last verses that I want to focus on today are Mark 12:41-44 where he shows the disciples what is in the heart of the poor. “And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.” As you give to the church it might not be much but if comes from the heart that is the only important thing that matters. What does the Lord put in your heart today to give?
As you attend church or relax today remember that God is on your side and He will leave you or be aginst you. Keep up your faith in Him know he will show you the path he wants you to take.
Today’s update on what going on in my life and Jennifers is a very short one. We are both doing very well. Jennifer has a few more times that she has to go to the clinic for dialysis then she will start to do a new procedure at home. She is struggling to leave the clinic because of how much she considers everyone in there her support family. I still working as security and healing up well from my last surgery. I will be getting a new post with the security company I work for. My prayer is that I can get the shift and pay that I truly need to be able to start out on my new journey.
Thank you for stopping by and following my life and struggles. I continue to pray for you and your family. I can not believe that I have been blogging for four mouths now and where God has taken this endeavor. I have linked two past post below for you to reflect on as you go through this journey.
