Special moments in life.

Do you have special moments in your life? A new baby, graduation from High school or college graduation, you meet the one, you got married. The list can go on and on if you wanted it too. I have been through several of these events and others that are not planned for that changed my life forever. What are some events have you been through in life? How do you cope with the positive and negative moments in life? Most times we do not let Him in on celebrations or thank Him for the joy in life. What does the Bible tell us about the special moments in life?

The Bible tells us……

In Proverbs 17:22 tells us “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” As we go through hard and good times we need to remember that being joyful is good for the heart. I know it hard to focus on the positives especially when you have a negative moment in your life like death or someone is in the hospital. But when we ask we will receive peace and understanding.

As we read in Luke 15:11-24 about The Parable of the Prodigal Son the father did not want to get mad at his son but celebrate his return. 23 And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.”  This is what kind of Father we have in heaven. One that celebrates our return to him.

When you do have a special need that comes up that you are having a hard time finding Joy just remember James 5:16 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” I love how James puts it the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. That very powerful what other books will tell you that? What will you be celebrating today or do you have coming up?

In conclusion…..

As you go through your day God wants you to make a joyful noise to Him and celebrate every day, not just the special moments. I continue to pray for you and lift your name up to Him.
