Is your life feng shui?

Most of the time most people are wanting to create a peaceful environment around them. The Chinese word feng shui comes to most people mind when they are creating this space. What is the definition of feng shui?

(in Chinese thought) a system of laws considered to govern spatial arrangement and orientation in relation to the flow of energy (qi), and whose favorable or unfavorable effects are taken into account when siting and designing buildings.

Most of the time you hear about someone wanting to put their bed facing to the north. By facing your bed north it will help with various sleep disorders such as insomnia and make you rather lethargic in your life. This position is often called the ‘death position’. If you are an older person, such as a senior citizen, this position might be good for you as it really promotes a calmness and tranquility that you can mostly benefit from. There are other factors that will help with feng shui in other rooms in the house. How would we feng shui our life with Christ?

Tips to Feng shui your life toward Christ.

Below are a few ideas I think will help us put Him first.

  1. Turn off the TV and computer. I know this one is the hardest to do since we are so focused on what going on in the world. But if we focus on him and not what going on around us there might be less stress or fear.
  2. Have a special area for your quite time. I know I have mentioned the movie before but “War Room” comes to mind when I think of this. It can be a table or special closet. Somewhere you can focus on him without the distractions.
  3. If fear comes creeping in your life pray. Prayer is the best communication we have with Christ. It even more powerful than a cell tower. He will listen to you 24/7 no matter what bothering you.

What are some verses that back up what Christ wants us to do?

Matthew 16:24  is a great starting place as Jesus was talking to his disciples he told them  “Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”  This is not a when I feel like it kind of terms but a daily walking with him. Even when we are not feeling like He not listening or things are not going our way we still need to follow Him daily.

As John 15:7 puts it “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” As we follow him daily he will start to answer our prayers and show us where he wants us to go.

As we read in 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 having instructions on our life.12 We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, 13 and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.14 And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. 15 See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies, 21 but test everything; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.” These verses are the truth God wants from us. Following him daily as He is King of Kings. What new ways are you planning to start to do to make Him the center of your life?

In conclusion…..

As you work and go through today, let us not forget who is the creator of you. If you stayed away from Him it never too late to start over. All you have to do is as fo forgiveness and follow Him.
Thank you for following my journey through life. I have had a rough day yesterday but doing a lot better today. I will continue to pray for you daily. below are a few past post that will help you through your journey,
Have a wonderful day,
