Good morning, Good evening or goodnight everyone. I pray you are doing well. What do you prefer war are peace. Most of you are in the know we are most of the time at war with another country. We are at war with most of the countries now of days. If you like more information about this look up “How Many Wars Is the US Really Fighting?” by Nick Truse. The article was written in 2015 but give you an example of what we are doing. I feel like any war is a bad idea. I know what you are saying, What if we do not go to war and they attack us. I am very aware of all that is going on but feel like we sometimes we put our foot where it does not belong. What does the Bible say about war and peace?
What does the Bible say……
The Bible should be the first book we should go to when we want to find out answers to our problems. In 1 Timothy 2:1-2 it tells us to:
“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.”
as we pray for everything we are to be in prayer and look for the peaceful way. I was always told to take the high road in life and not stoop down to person immaturity. I believe God is in control of all and has his arms around us.
In Matthew 5:38-45n he talks about the good old saying an eye for an eye where if someone does wrong to us we should not do wrong to them.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.”
This is a very strong verse and should be taken to heart as God shows us what we need to do if we are beaten down. I know at times we are hurt by what is said to us. We just need to ignore it and pray they know Him. What does the Bible say about peace? In John 16:33 He tells us: “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” That is very comforting to me to know that he wants peace vs. War. In Hebrews 12:14 He tells us
“Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” If we do not strive for peace we have lost the sight of God. He wants us to focus on him vs. everything else going on around us. Do you have peace in your heart for the nations of God or you still holding on to hate and anger for them.?
As you go through your day let us never forget the ones that did fight for our country and still do. I would love to hear your side of the story on what you believe in war or peace. Tell your enemy that you love them and forgive them. Continue to pray for our leaders and country as I know that most of the focus is away from the one that should be at.
Thank again for following me through my journey. I love the fact that God has his hand on this project and continues to lead me. Below are two more subjects that will guide you through this wonderful journey and expand on today’s topic.
