per·fec·tion·ist. Do you know someone like this?

per·fec·tion·ist Definition says:

1. a person who refuses to accept any standard short of perfection.

I know we all know someone that falls in this catigory. They feel like they need to do it as perfect as they can and to the book. Can this be a bad thing. Yes if every time you are traped looking for the perfect time or makeing sure it to the book or law that it pushes people away.

I loved reading “11 signs you are perfectionist” by Celes.  In her post she tells the 11 signs and how she has been in perfectionist race and how to get over the rat race of being perfect.

What dose the bible have to say about being perfect. In the bible not being perfect is talked about as sin. With out God we are all not pefect. In James 3:2 it tells us “For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.” In this verse He is telling us that we are all going to fall short of his coming and that God is the only pefect one. If we want to be pefect in Gods eyes we need to obey him like it mentions in Deuteronomy 6:5. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”  We can try to be pefect as much as we want to but we are still going to sin. What ways in your life are you trying to make pefefect?

As you go though today, Lean on him and know that everything you do might not be pefect or exactly the way you want them to go. Keep working at it and know that God loves you as who he created you to be. If you find yourself pushing people way becuse you feel like it has to be exactly to a pefect T rember that we can work in a group and it has one comon factor that being the love of Christ. If you have any question feel free to ask.

Have a blessed day,
