Do you have times in your life that you make a promise and have to break it due to an unexpected situation? I promise to mow the lawn and then you get busy with another project and you do not do it. I promise to go out this weekend and then you do not do it. Life will take you on a roller coaster at times and we start to not to trust the people that make the promises. Or our feelings get hurt and feel like we are very let down on the situation. I do know one thing and that is when God makes promises he will aways come though.

In 2 Peter 3:9 it says “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” I love how it mention the Lord telling us that he not slow but will do it in his perfect timing. The bible also mentions in Philippians 4:19 where we need to lean on his understanding saying “my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” That means everything from the roof over your head, to the food you eat and the clothes you wear. In Matthew 11:28-29 it says “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” I love that when we are upset at the other people that we can always go back to him for comfort. Anytime someone hurts you always know that God has a plan. His plan is greater than any humans promise or plan is.
Today, as you go through the day, remember that His plan is going to be great and never forget that. If someone does hurt you pray for that person and know God will intervene for you. I continue to pray for you today and know if you ever need anyone to talk to talk to reach out. Please continue to pray for Jennifer and me as we deal with everyday life and struggles.
